How Reffero Commissions and Payouts Actually Work

The full journey of a rupee on Reffero: 30-day last-click attribution, the escrow wallet, commission tiers from 40% to 92.5%, and what KYC has to do with getting paid in NPR.

Most creator platforms are vague about money on purpose. This post is the opposite: the exact path a rupee takes from your follower's pocket to your bank account, and every rule that applies along the way.

Attribution: how a sale becomes your sale

When someone taps your link, that click is recorded server-side, not in a cookie that Instagram's in-app browser will delete. If that person orders anytime in the next 30 days, the order carries your attribution. Last click wins, so the creator whose post actually triggered the purchase gets paid.

The server-side part is not a technical footnote. Instagram and TikTok open links in their own browsers, which routinely wipe client-side tracking. Platforms that track in the browser systematically undercount creator sales. That means they systematically underpay. We wrote more about why this matters in our guide to affiliate marketing in Nepal.

The escrow wallet: lock on confirmation, release on delivery

The moment an order is confirmed, your commission locks in your wallet. The brand can't reduce it, and a renegotiation can't touch it. When the courier marks the order delivered, it releases and becomes payable.

Why the delivery step? Because this is Nepal, and most orders are cash on delivery. A COD order isn't a completed sale until someone hands over the cash at the door. Escrow-on-delivery means you're paid on real sales, and brands pay only for orders that actually arrived. That's exactly why they keep funding the commissions you earn from.

Your share: the three tiers

The brand sets the commission on each product. Your tier sets how much of it you keep:

  • Free (Rs 0): you keep 40% of commission. Storefront, tracked links, and Buy Me a Chiya included forever.
  • Pro (Rs 999/mo): you keep 60%, plus the ability to apply to brand collabs and sign contracts in the app.
  • Premium (Rs 1,499/mo): you keep 92.5%, with the full collab directory and priority support.

The upgrade math is simple arithmetic: once your monthly commission at 40% is meaningfully less than the same sales at 60% minus Rs 999, Pro pays for itself. Run the numbers on last month's sales, not on hopes.

KYC: the step between your wallet and your bank

Payouts are in NPR, to your bank, and that requires a verified identity. KYC is a one-time submission (there's a walkthrough video showing exactly which documents Reffero needs). Do it before your first sale, not after, so verification never stands between a released balance and your account.

What this adds up to

Every rule above exists to make one sentence true: if your content caused a sale, you get paid for it, provably. That proof compounds: a record of attributed orders is the strongest asset in any brand deal negotiation, and yours builds itself every time someone buys.
